Art and Progression Systems

So still no definite update on the art of the project still in draft mode. A few concepts have been drawn up but i have not settled on any one yet. Did get the comment that it looks like a MK ninja though.
Implementing progression system in the game.
I have introduced two new items the red and blue stars. Red stars give you the ability to dash in the air. Blue stars give you a free air jump without using stars.
They both increment while collecting them, so if you collect two stars you will be able to dash or jump twice and goes up the more items you collect. These items will be hidden in the world for you to collect there will only be two of each in the entire game.
These items will serve as the barrier to cross to complete the game hence they will have to be found.
Stage Layouts
So i have decided to have the game be open in a way. Game flow draft is like this thus far.
Tutorial - Main Area- Choices( Forest, Cliffs, Caves, Nightmare, Summit)
The game ends at the Summit however you would not be able to reach without the required power ups.
Trials of Ninja
A platformer about a ninja overcoming obstacles to escape a mysterious world.
