Brawlers Rebuild


Development of the New Brawlers.

The game is being rebuilt from the ground up and there are many feature changes. It is no longer a beat 'em up, it's now a 1v1 fighting game for mobile. The PC version will be point and click and available here, however, I am targeting mobile for the main release.

Here I'll try to explain the controls, game structure, and our goals for this game. 

Controls

Your Screen is your only Input Device. There are no visible buttons on the screen, however, your inputs are available and they are as follows.

 Keep in mind it is designed for mobile.

Game Set-Up

Each Character will have the following.

Costume

Body Type: Male Only for now

Pedigree

Character Stance-  The Idle animation of your character

Character Movement - These are the animations associated with the Normal Inputs U, D, F, B

Character Normals - These are the animations associated with the Normal Inputs LP, RP, LK, RK.

Character Commands - These are animations associated with the Special Commands

In Addition, the Character will also have Intro and Win animations.

Frame Data

In almost every fighting game, frame data is a big part of the formula This game is no different. Animations will be broken down to the frame to determine if they are good for the game.  Normal attacks will always be fifteen (15) frames however, there may be variation between start-up and recovery frames. Special Moves frame data will vary, also they will be able to send your opponent to different states such as launched, That may have some benefit in combos. Special moves are only two (2) Inputs. Use normals as links to string combos together.
